Behind Lake Wakatipu
The area on the other side of Lake Wakatipu from Queenstown is pretty untouched. There is a long, gravel road that leads through a pretty epically beautiful valley. At the end of the road is Walter Peak, a highland sheep farm that happens to be the location the Queenstown steam ship sails to a few times a day.
