Death Valley National Park

I first visited Death Valley National Park in 2008 with a co-worker from Yahoo! He is a pretty talented photographer, and was focused on getting great pictures of wildlife in the seemingly lifeless desert. We were able to see a lot of what the park offered, including Badwater Basin, Racetrack Playa, Artist's Palette, Zabriskie Point, Charcoal Kilns, Salt Creek, and the Mesquite Sand Dunes.
I think the most interesting location was Racetrack Playa, which is a flat (and normally dry) salt lake where rocks infrequently slide across the surface and leave trails behind. There is a whole lot to see if you enjoy the unique aspects of the desert!
