Grand Teton National Park

I've been able to go to Grand Teton National Park twice now, once as a short visit with my family, and another time as a backpacking trip with my friends Alex and Ryan.

Doing the 4 day Teton Crest Trail is an amazing adventure, with some of the best scenary on earth as a constant reward for your hiking effort. While we were there, there was an issue with a food shortage for the bears in the area. When we went to check in and get our backpacking permits, the ranger asked us about our food storage, and we explained how we were going to use bear bags to keep it safe. He replied with "Well, the huckleberry crop failed, so the bears are getting kinda desperate." As it turns out, they really were, and we had close contact with at least one every night.

I'd love to do the trail again - it truly is a remarkable place.
