Kawarau Bridge Bungy Jump

I did my first bungy jump at the first commercial bungy jump location in the world, the Kawarau Bridge, just outside of Queesntown, New Zealand.

The jump point itself is 43 meters over the Kawarau River, on a historic (and now unused) bridge. The jump is fairly unique, because you have the choice of touching or getting dunked in the river below. I took advantage of this, and got dunked up to my chest (you dive head first with the bungy attached to your feet).

In retrospect, this was my favorite jump. You get a lot of "ground rush," which is pretty cool. Definitely do it if you get the chance!
