Nevis Bungy Jump
The Nevis bungy jump was my third jump, and is quite a bit higher (at 134 meters) than the other two I have done so far. The jump point/platform is suspended on wires between two mountains, directly above a river. You take a little gondola over to the platform, where you wait your turn to jump. It is really pretty cool watching people jump (they go for quite a long time).
Once it is your turn, they strap you in and you walk up the edge. They do a quick countdown, and then you jump. The fall takes about 8 seconds, which is actually a really long time for a bungy jump. On your second bounce, you are instructed to pull a cord which releases your feet so you don't have to be pulled up upside down.
Quite an awesome experience!
