Pisco

The next morning, I´m freaking tired. But we go and get on this bus to Pisco. Luckily, its not crowded, so I get some sleep.  Mike wakes me up at Pisco, and we again don´t get picked up as planned.  So we catch a cab (actually a motorcycle with a little cab kinda attached) to what we hope is the place. I´m sitting up front, basically just trying not to die as I´m hanging out the side.  We make it, and just as we store our bags a bus shows up to take us on the tour.  What timing. Just made it.  We go to a little dock  thingy, where we go get on this moderate to small sized speed boat.  We go see some candelabra etched into the desert coast, and then we head out to the balletas islands.  We get there, and there are a ton of weird birds all flying around.  We see baby penguins, and then come up on a beach filled with with sea lions. They are all honking and doing whatever they do.  We drive around more, admiring the beauty of these crazy islands. Sea lions  everywhere sleeping on rocks. AT one point in time a huge stampede of them went into the water, it was very noisy.  Basically, the islands are awesome. We go back to the port, where we wait for the next part of our tour.  I won´t go into detail about that part, because it basically was us driving through a desert for like 3 hours.  The one good part was that I got to walk on a pacific beach for the first time here, and I picked up lots of seashells.  Me and mike  chased around a crab for a while, and we saw a dead baby sea lion (which was gross). Eventually we got back to Pisco, where we got a hostel.  We spent a lot on this one (8 bucks each), and its really nice with a toilet seat and everything :).  Actually, it is nice, with a good hot shower and a TV.  We got cleaned up, and then went to dinner. I had Cebiche, a raw fish with lemon juice and red onions. Good, but a little spicy for me. That pretty much brings us to the end of our trip.  We go to Lima tomorrow, and the airport tomorrow night.  Should be home soon. I´m certainly disappointed, but I will say that I´ll be looking forward to a soft bed, a good shower, and the crappiest, cheapest fast food available.

Mmmm, taco bell. (i have no idea why that sounds so good).

Sleep now, goodnight.
