Thailand

I went to Thailand in 2008, as the first stop on my tour of Southeast Asia. I flew into Bangkok, from San Francisco with a short layover in Seoul. It was my first flight across the Pacific Ocean, and it was my longest flight to date.
After a few days in Bangkok, I left the city and went to go check out the bridge over the River Kwai. I took a train out to the site, and had a really good time in the town of Kanchanaburi.
I soon realized that I needed to get down to Koh Pha Ngan for the Full Moon Party, however, which is why I ended up going south down, actually. After a few days of amazing partying and beach lounging, I hopped up to Koh Tao, where I spend quite a long time learning to scuba dive and beach lounging.
Eventually, I went to the other side of Thailand, all the way across to the city Ranong - the gateway to Myanmar. There isn't much to do in Ranong, but Myanmar is really pretty cool for a day (you can't actually fully enter Myanmar for a long trip from this point).
After that, I made my way to Krabi, where I got a boat to Koh Phi Phi for some for diving and beach lounging. I also went to a little town called Railay in this area, which is known for its amazing rock climbing.
