Yellowstone National Park

I've actually been to Yellowstone National Park a couple of times now, once in 1994 with my family, and once in 2007 as a sidetrip from a Grand Tetons backpacking trip with some friends from university.
Yellowstone is a pretty unique place, filled with gysers, mudpots, and lots of now rare wildlife. I defiantely feel fortunate to have visited this place; it feels rather other-worldly. I'd really like to explore Yellowstone a bit more "off the beaten path," as it does take away a bit of the magic when you have so many other people around, with overpriced food courts and giant RV's crowding the roads. I don't think it would take much to get away from all of that, though, and I'm sure one day's walk away from the main roads would put you in the middle of nowhere all by yourself. Someday soon? Let's hope.
