Yosemite National Park
I was able to visit Yosemite National Park in high school with my parents, which was pretty exciting at the time! I still remember the awe of looking up at massive waterfalls and huge cliffs!
More recently, I was able to visit the park with my friend Andrew, who was visiting me from Missouri. We were able to see a lot of the same things that I had seen before, but the most interesting thing that we did was a hike to the top of Half Dome. The round trip hike takes a full day, and is very much worth it. The trail crosses a couple of waterfalls, provides amazing views throughout, and is capped off with the fantastic final assent via cables attached to the dome itself. I actually did the hike on my 26th birthday, and decided to carry a mini-keg of Heineken and a bunch of ice to the top!
Well worth a trip, if you haven't been able to go yet!
